Compare the same reputation surfaces, definitions and outcomes every week to see whether problems are closing and to select the next action.
Why rating alone is insufficient
An average rating covers one review platform. Customers may also encounter search results, official pages, social profiles, third-party records and AI answers. A stable rating does not show whether contact details are wrong, old service pages remain visible or enquiries are being followed up.
Six scorecard fields
| Field | Weekly record | Primary source |
|---|---|---|
| Visibility | Impressions, clicks and important pages | Search Console and platform reports |
| Accuracy | New errors across controlled and external surfaces | Fixed URLs and prompt panel |
| Review handling | New, unclassified, answered and escalated cases | Review platform and case log |
| Correction progress | Opening high-risk items, closed items and overdue items | Reputation Surface Map |
| On-site action | Contact clicks, forms and primary CTA completion | Analytics and CRM |
| Business outcome | Qualified replies, leads, meetings and next steps | CRM, not traffic inference |
Google describes Search Console as the source of truth for Search performance and Google Analytics as the source of truth for behaviour on the site. Their clicks and sessions are not expected to match exactly, so preserve definitions and compare trends.
The 30-minute routine
Check data dates and last week's baseline. Update Search, reviews, social records and five fixed AI prompts. Calculate issue closure rate: closed high-risk items divided by opening high-risk items. Review CTA and CRM outcomes. Choose one next action with an owner and deadline.
A hypothetical firm starts with twelve high-risk information issues and closes five, a 41.7% closure rate. Brand-query impressions rise, qualified enquiries remain flat and two AI answers still cite an old service page. This does not prove revenue impact. It directs the team to repair the old source and inspect the CTA and CRM handoff before increasing content volume.
